What is the Management Systems approach to Mergers and Acquisitions?

Every merger or acquisition involves combining two or more organizations to create a new entity. This process involves critical organizational development challenges, including:

  • Finding ways to motivate and retain key people
  • Adapting operational and management systems to support the vision and strategy of the combined organization
  • Creating a culture of shared values, beliefs and norms that will best fit the new organization
  • Blending key managers into a new leadership team

Consultants also help the management team create the new company by articulating the vision and strategic mission and clarifying and supporting implementation of changes in structure and culture that will help ensure achievement of the mission.

  • Integration planning that takes place between the announcement and the approval/completion of the financial deal
